  1. Identify an influence
A factor that had an influence on my participation was …
My back injury
  1. Describe the effect of that influence on participation  (Think about feels like, sounds like looks like)
This factor had a negative influence on my participation because it caused me to not be able to participate in the activity. I was really disappointed that I couldn't play because whilst I was watching it looked like lots of fun. I felt annoyed that my back hurt too much due to the swing of the club and it sounded bored when I was talking because I had nothing to do until it was time to pick up the balls. It looked like me standing still and not doing much but watching and encouraging my classmates.

  1. Explain the effect of that influence on participation

I think this factor had such an influence on my participation because since I could not participate in the activity I wasn't really paying much attention as to what to do and I couldn't play at all which made me upset and frustrated. I would have really enjoyed golf if it didn't aggravate my back too much. I didn't get to actually play but in the last lesson when we played a round of golf I assisted Sophie and participated as a helper/onlooker.

  1. Identify an influence
A factor that had an influence on my participation was the music and the environment we were in.

  1. Describe the effect of that influence on participation  (Think about feels like, sounds like looks like)

This factor had a positive influence on my participation because it caused me to get my groove on! I am really used to dancing with music and inside and it made me interested and made it really fun for me. It felt exciting and I was looking forward to the lessons. It sounded up beat and high energy which influenced my participation because it was exciting. It looked like I was putting lots of energy into it and I was engaged in the movements.

  1. Explain the effect of that influence on participation

I think this factor had such an influence on my participation because I enjoyed the movements more with the music as it made sense and went with the music which is what I am used to as a dancer. The environment made me feel comfortable as it is in areas where I usually dance and feel comfortable moving in, which made me feel comfortable when performing the kickboxing moves/sequences.

    Identify an influence
A factor that had an influence on my participation was being a dancer and having a background of gymnastic tricks.
  1. Describe the effect of that influence on participation

This factor had a positive influence on my participation because it caused me to feel comfortable and confident with my routine, as I was used to doing many of the moves from my dancing, e.g a balance and cartwheel. It helped me as well to concentrate on the things that needed an extra bit of help e.g my vault and full spin. It sounded like I was excited to put some of my skills into practice at school and I sounded assured and mostly confident because I had most of the skills. It looked like a clean and confident execution as I was used to doing some of the moves and practicing smooth technique and flow

  1. Explain the effect of that influence on participation

I think this factor had such an influence on my participation because it boosted my enthusiasm and confidence and comfortability. I had a background with the skills required so I was happy to have most of the tricks mastered or close to. I was excited and ready to participate as it was very similar something I do most days of the week (dance) and it effected my participation because I wanted to take part and do well, and I could use the techniques from dancing and transfer them into my gymnastics routine.

  1. Identify an influence
A factor that had an influence on my participation was having Miguel come from outside of school to teach us. It made me more interested and he had previously played handball competitively so he had good tips and tricks. I found he had a good way of teaching and communicating with his students.

  1. Describe the effect of that influence on participation  (Think about feels like, sounds like looks like)
This factor had a positive influence on my participation because it caused me to pay more attention and be more intrigued in the sport than I would have been otherwise. I felt interested and excited going into each lesson, which influenced my participation and engagement. It sounded like me listening while he was talking and teaching, and it looked like a lot of improvement from the first lesson.

  1. Explain the effect of that influence on participation

I think this factor had such an influence on my participation because it was something different that we don't normally do (having an outside instructor), and since he was very experienced it helped me improve heaps from the first lesson, and since I was engaged and participating, I was listening and paying attention, so I picked up the rules and most of the technique well.
